Living in silence and solitude, surrounded by the beauties of nature, allows the hermit sister to develop her gifts, creative gifts that can be shared with others.

Our Mission of Prayer
Eremitic life, as in the Carmelite way, has its roots in the early centuries of Church history. Its lifestyle is one in which the Christian faithful dedicate their lives to solitude and separation from the world in order to more fully develop a life of contemplation and interior silence. Love of God and intercession for the salvation of all people is a spiritual work of Mercy. Primitive Rules with their ancient disciplines of prayer, fasting, simple lifestyle, and manual labor accompany this style of consecrated life in the Church.

Carmel Hermitage of Superior, WI Inc. is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code by falling under United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB), group exemption .
